So, you may have heard about the Jambox Speaker, which is a cute little bluetooth speaker made by Jawbone, the same company that makes Bluetooth headsets for phones. I only recently came across this cool little speaker when my boss pulled it out of the small pocket of his backpack to show it off. He handed it to me and it was barely bigger than my hand and lighter than a book. I turned it on and the next thing I know he was using his smartphone as a remote to play music.

This little Jambox jams! The bass is pretty heavy for a speaker of its size, and the bluetooth connection was crystal clear. the Jambox is also sturdy and made of rubber casing and stainless steel components. That's good because if the song you are playing has enough bass, the Jambox will bump with it a little bit. Amazing that such a small speaker has such serious sound. In fact, it puts out 85 decibel, all from a single, ultra small dome speaker.

This bluetooth speaker is really only the size of a soda can. It weighs 12 ounces, is less than six inches long by about two inches wide. You can easily put Jambox in a purse or pocket and carry it without trouble. The battery life on Jambox is 10 hours and will take you about 2.5 hours to fully charge with the accompanying USB charger.

As for what you can do with Jambox, it's more than a music speaker. You can pair it with up to 2 bluetooth devices at once. It can act as a speaker for your Tablet, or a speaker for your smartphone. Jambox is PC and Mac compatible. You can also stream your iTunes or Pandora. Also, Jambox has voice "personalities" that you can download. This is the voice that tells you the status of your battery and such.

Now, Jambox is not perfect. It is on the higher end of prices, but it is also built well. Also, if you are looking for something to use as a home speaker system, this likely will not do. It is loud for its size but not intended to project through a very large room or through the house. This is more of a personal speaker and works great at close range than to fill a room.

To sum all this up, I really like the Jambox. It is perfect for me as a portable speaker, I love the bluetooth capability and I think the sound is fantastic. It is easy to carry in my bag too. Oh and it comes in 4 colors! Red, black, blue and grey, so there is a style for everyone!
